Ok so here’s a subject a lot of folk get excited about during this time of year…FOOTBALL. I like it, but I dont LOVE IT in the sense that I will decorate my first born child in my favorite teams clothing and paint his/her room that color etc. I certainly think its ok to like your team and be enthusiastic…wanting them to win. If you’re gonna cheer for your team you might as well do it LOUD. But lets be honest and say football is not life. A person’s day shouldn’t be good or bad based on whether their team won or not. I think too many people take it farther than it should go. They talk about it, they know the stats of the guys that play all the way down to what size under armor their wearing. If you’re a Christ follower don’t find yourself being more passionate about football (or anything for that matter) more than you are your relationship with Jesus, because of what He saved you from and the life He has called you to live. We all have to watch that. I know I do.
