Mission trip Day One
First let me say this is a late blog post. Follow me at http://twitter.com/joeyfaulk for live updates. WOW this morning seems like a while ago. Today I was part of the tile/make it happen crew. I had the priviledge of working with Fernando my Cuban/American brother and some white guys (Andrew, Joel , Dakota and the chief~ Steve)…some great guys. See this for the beginning of our job http://twitpic.com/6wgdr
We layed the whole hall minus the sides and a few other spots (that will be for tomorrow). ON to sport time: We had a soccer camp to do this evening from 5:30-7:30. Pray that God would move in this community (Salyersville, KY) through this soccer camp stuff at FBC Salyersville. Tonight (all praise and glory to Jesus) a little girl asked Christ to be her Savior during the sport time devotion. She passed into life from death! She is a daughter of the King! Her name is Tori. She goes to church here at FBC. I am exicted about connecting her to some local church leaders so she can grow in her walk with Jesus. Ask in the comments if you want to hear how this went down.
Team devotion tonight was good. Adults are just large children. I love it. Great creative idea for any of you guys and gals that give devos. Holler in the comments if you want to know what it was.
Homemade icream after dinner. Chocolate, strawberry, peach, vanilla…WOW that was suffering for the Lord on the mission field:)
I hope ya’ll read this and pray for us. Look for some updates tomorrow! PRAISE GOD for what HE is doing here!
