Mission Trip travel day

To all FBC readers and others out there, after a 445 mile ride (according to google maps) our team (42) arrived at FBC Salyersville, KY. So far no worries in the neighborhood. We just had a meeting (if you want to call it that) to talk about what time to be up to hit it and get it tomorrow.  We are going to be doing wood work, tile work, cieling work, in the church building, sports clinics for the community, and other types of odds and ends. Check back here for some more updates (maybe more than one per day)! We are excited about what God is doing and going to do this week. We had a beautiful ride through the east Kentucky mountains.  God’s creation is truly beautiful. An eventful moment occurred today when a a guy on a crotch rocket zipped by me at 180 mph followed by a state trooper pushing his crown vic as hard as it would go. The guy on the motorcycle was apparently running from the cops through the twisty mountain roads. It was insane! That was about the best excitement of the day (although my sandwhich at subway pretty good too). That’s all for now. Keep this thread hot. Post your comments/prayers. They are needed! I will be sharing them with our team.   HOLLER BACK! ~ Joey
